FIRST Robotics
This is the site for FIRST,
the national robotics engineering design competition that teams up high
school students with engineers from business and higher education in
the design and construction of technologically sophiscated robots. The
teams and their robots compete at regional competitions and a national
championship. We have found FIRST to be a great way of promoting school-business
partnerships and creating greater awareness and interest in technology
education. It really turns kids on to science and technology and exposes
them what the world of work is like in engineering and other technical
fields.
